SUMMARY

I am a Mechanical Designer / Draftsman with over 20 yrs. experience working on a variety of Commercial and Military projects. I have over 23,000 hours experience using Pro-Engineer Cad systems (versions 14 thru Wildfire 3) and Windchill (x). I've worked with large assemblies, family tables, simplified reps, BOM reports, sheetmetal, some surfacing and more. I have 'Cad Support' experience that includes setting up standards for part libraries, model parameters, drawing templates, layer conventions, etc.... plus I have instructed / mentored other designers on how to better use Pro-E.
Prior to 1997, I worked on Medusa Cad systems and gained over 15,000 hrs. experience designing, drafting, programming and providing Cad support.
Areas of experience include:
PLASTIC PARTS .......................... for a variety of consumer products and electronic connectors.
PACKAGING ................................ of mechanical / optical / electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
SHEETMETAL ............................. for electrical enclosures, welded truck cabs & bodies, and other products.
TOOLING & FIXTURES ............. for holding parts and assemblies during manufacture and testing.
ANSI/ASME Y14.5M (GD&T) ..... geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GTOL).


Additional experience includes:
Several years as a machinist with nearly 2 years of building and repairing plastic injection molds.
Nine years in the USAF as an instrumentation technician, with a security clearance, working in scientific data processing for the Air Force Weapons Lab (AFWL); Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

* Contracted to the Electronic Packaging Group for work on the upgrade to the xxxxx.
* Used Pro-E Wildfire 3 (XP) and Windchill data management to help with the design of the new electronic box for the .
* I was responsible for the top level assy of the box, the box assy, electronic cards, motherboard and other components and total weight. I was able to find and correct several fit problems resulting from incorrect information and was able to make changes to reduce weight within acceptable limits.
