SUMMARY

I am a Mechanical Designer / Draftsman with over 20 yrs. experience working on a variety of Commercial and Military projects. I have over 21,000 hours experience using Pro-Engineer Cad systems (versions 14 thru Wildfire 3) and Intra-link (thru V3.4). I've worked with large assemblies, family tables, simplified reps, BOM reports, sheetmetal, some surfacing and more. I have 'Cad Support' experience that includes setting up standards for part libraries, model parameters, drawing templates, layer conventions, etc.... plus I have instructed / mentored other designers on how to better use Pro-E.
Prior to 1997, I worked on Medusa Cad systems and gained over 15,000 hrs. experience designing, drafting, programming and providing Cad support.

Areas of experience include:
PLASTIC PARTS .......................... for a variety of consumer products and electronic connectors.
PACKAGING ................................ of mechanical / optical / electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
SHEETMETAL ............................. for electrical enclosures, welded truck cabs & bodies, and other products.
TOOLING & FIXTURES ............. for holding parts and assemblies during manufacture and testing.
ANSI/ASME Y14.5M (GD&T) ..... geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GTOL).


Additional experience includes:
Several years as a machinist with nearly 2 years of building and repairing plastic injection molds.
Nine years in the USAF as an instrumentation technician, with a security clearance, working in scientific data processing for the Air Force Weapons Lab (AFWL); Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

* Contracted back to the Design Support Group for work on several projects for the military.
* Used Pro-E Wildfire 3 (XP) to help design and model the anti-vibration mount for the optical sensor package to be used on the un-manned ground vehicles.
* I also worked on the power supply used in the Longbow FCR (Fire Control Radar) system used on the Apache helicopter. I was responsible for modelling the original version in Pro-E (previously done on paper and another cad system) then began making design changes for the new version.
