* Contracted back to the Design Support Group for work on the VUIT-2 project.
* Used Pro-E Wildfire 3 (XP) to upgrade the AVUIT system and package it into the Left EFAB (Electronics Foward Avionics Bay) of the Apache AH-64 helicopter.
* I was awarded a "Certificate of Appreciation" recognizing me for my work on the project.

* Contracted back to the Design Support Group for work on several new and current projects.
* Used Pro-E Wildfire 3 (XP) to work on adapting Lockheed's "Sniper" ATP (Advanced Targeting Pod) to fit on the F-18 C/D aircraft. I worked on concepts to package additional electronics and equipment inside the adapter.
* Used pro-surfacing to help with difficult portions of the adapter and to make an SLA model
of the aircraft skin to check for proper fit.
* Additional projects I supported include:
AVUIT (Apache Video Unmanned Intelligent Teaming), a system to provide realtime video
              links from Air and ground support thru the Apache helicopter.
AGS (Advanced Gun System)- a rocket assisted projectile shot from a naval destroyer.
Gunship, and others.

* Contracted to the Design Support Group for work on a variety of projects.
* Used Pro-E Wildfire 1 & 2 (XP) to create part models, assemblies, drawings, wiring diagrams and layouts. Designed tooling and fixtures for an R&D project to hold optical parts and assemblies for testing and alignment.
* Created new library parts and started a web page for users to see what parts were in the library. I also helped other designers with their Pro-E problems and showed them better ways to use Pro-E.
* Took a 15 hr. refresher course for ANSI Y14.5M-1982 .

( Feb 2001 - Sep 2001 )
* Contracted for work on the TADS (Target Acqisition and Designation Sight) night vision system and targeting FLIR for the Apache helicopter.
* Used Pro-E 2000 i2 (NT) to design precision optical / mechanical components and assemblies. Responsible for the NFOV (narrow field of view) assembly consisting of lenses, mounting cells, folding mirror, focusing mechanism and ray tracings. Pro PDM was used for managing data files.
* I became the ‘unofficial’ group mentor by helping other users answer their Pro-E questions and showing them better ways to use the cad software..

* Used Pro-E 2000i (NT) to create models, assemblies and drawings.
* Set up and implemented basic cad standards which included config files, drawing formats, layer convention and part parameters for use in BOM’s. Organized file directories, cleaned up the parts library and added family tables where needed.
* Instructed less experienced users on better ways to use Pro-E more efficiently.
